Q: This may be something you want to read....Let me know your feedback... http://gracethrufaith.com/ikvot-hamashiach/the-anti-christ-and-mr-obama/

A: Hmmm… what do I say about what I read on http://gracethrufaith.com

First, I think it’s good to be reminded that one of Satan’s primary weapons is FEAR …

2Tim.4.5           As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
Titus.2.2           Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness.
1Pet.1.13          Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1Pet.4.7            The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.
1Pet.5.8            Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

I’ve never paid any attention at all to people who “predict the future” aside from Biblical prophecy, so Gerald Celente of http://www.trendsresearch.com/ will probably remain off my radar since he has attained celebrity status and even puts an endorsement from Oprah on his homepage.

But … that doesn’t mean that he has an exclusive on these so-called ‘predictions’ of his… plenty of other people think many of the same things.

The writer of http://gracethrufaith.com loses a few points with me for even mentioning the year 2012 as a ‘possible’ year of cataclysmic significance.  This is the year that the Mayan calendar ends, suggesting the end of the world…. Supposedly other pagan religions, ( the Hopi Indians I think) also put significance on 2012.  But I can’t say that I disagree with everything he’s written on the site, he/she says plenty that I do agree with and I’m looking forward to reading more of the articles on the site.

I’m not making a prediction here, but I can say that if our government continues to print money the way it has been these last 2 months that the value of our dollar is seriously at risk… it’s not impossible that we’d see hyperinflation if the dollar collapses… the Bible does prophesy about inflation in Revelation 6:

“A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine." (Rev. 6:5-6)

The Federal Reserve has reliably published Economic Data for decades called  M3 Money Supply … they just recently stopped doing this … this is very alarming… it seems they don’t want people knowing how much money they’re printing which suggests that they’re fearful that if it were known it would create panic.  We’re spending more than we’re making, that much is known.  I read yesterday that the Chinese now own more of our country’s debt (Treasury Bonds) than the Japanese.  If the holders of our foreign debt (Treasury bonds) lose faith in the value of our declining dollar then they may want to get what they can before they lose more value…so they’d sell their US Treasury bond holdings.  We’ve seen how things can spiral out of control these last few months. More sellers than buyers means prices have to fall, so the prices of all those Treasury bonds would plummet, which means interest rates would go up just as fast.  Think of a see saw, when one end goes down the other end goes up. So if the cost of borrowing goes up then prices of everything would go up.

If the dollar collapses our country will crumble.  Commodity prices will skyrocket, food, fuel, etc.  This happened in Germany in 1923.  As businesses fail, unemployment in the millions would lead to disruptions in the flow of goods that our society relies upon.  In other words, food would stop being trucked into the cities because our primary distribution system relies on trucks which will be too expensive to operate.  We’d start seeing shortages and hoarding.  If the grocery shelves are bare there will inevitably be civil unrest which would make the last LA Riots look like kindergarten.     Our country is not united right now, so it is unlikely that people would come together like they did during WWII to make things work by committing to personal sacrifice and cooperation.  A few months ago I asked my wife to stock  up on baby food, so that we’d have at least a 1 month supply of formula and diapers.  I think it’s also a good idea to keep the gas tank full these days.  It’s a natural process for businesses to fail and other businesses to be created or for existing businesses to expand… but if the banks aren’t loaning money this won’t happen and this spells Disaster with a capital ‘D’.

As I write this I’m watching the Dow Jones Industrial Average drop below the low set in early October, it’s now its 7776.18 … you know it can get bad, but you don’t get that sinking feeling in your gut until you actually see it happen…. I want to remain optimistic, but America is definitely in trouble.

I’ve been watching the Obama birth certificate issue for about a month now… so far the lawsuits filed by individuals are being dismissed because the individual can not prove any ‘harm’.  But this issue could still turn into a real problem.  Why Obama hasn’t just produced the document to make the whole controversy go away is troubling.  Have you ever read the articles on http://www.worldnetdaily.com/ … it’s a popular source of conservative news.  Today the main headline on WorldnetDaily is that the birth certificate issue is being scheduled for a Supreme Court ‘conference’.  If Obama is not a ‘natural citizen’ this could create a big problem…. ½ of the country will flip out.  I don’t think he’s the antichrist, but I do think we’ve taken 2 steps forward toward the Rapture /  2nd Coming.

Yes, these are weird days.

Luke.21.28        Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near

Q: I have been studying the end times & am not sure what will happen at the Rapture.  Do you believe that everyone that has accepted Christ as Savior will be raptured? Or, will only the saved that are living Godly lifes be raptured?  I believe that you cannot lose your salvation, however, there are those that have been saved but have become "lukewarm" & are not following the teachings any longer.  What will happen to those people at the Rapture?

Good question...

When Jesus contrasts 'the many' and 'the few' is he only referring to entering Heaven or is He also referring to the Rapture?

Matthew 7:13-31

13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Luke 13: 27

Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. 23 Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?"
He said to them, 24 "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.'
"But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.'
26 "Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.'
27 "But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!'
28 "There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. 29 People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. 30 Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last."
Could the feast spoken of in Luke 13:28 be the Wedding Supper of the Lamb?  If so, then do you think this scripture could be applied to the Rapture?

In the Bible, Jesus is often portrayed as the bridegroom, and the church as the bride.  In Revelation 21:2-9, the great wedding is portrayed with the church prepared for her bridegroom.
In 2 Corinthians 11:2, Paul wrote that he had betrothed the Corinthian church to Christ. He wanted to present the church as a pure bride to Christ.
John 2:2 says: “On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee.”  Here, Christ began his ministry by performing a miracle; he changed water into wine.  It’s interesting to note that on the third day, Jesus will be serving wine at another wedding, the wedding supper of the Lamb.  Rev. 19:7  says: “Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and the bride has made herself ready.”  And Rev. 19:9: “Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb.”

Matthew 24: 42- 42

42 "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
45 "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 22

1 Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: 2 "The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. 3 He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.
4 "Then he sent some more servants and said, 'Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.'
5 "But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. 6 The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. 7 The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 "Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. 9 Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.' 10 So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.
11 "But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 12 'Friend,' he asked, 'how did you get in here without wedding clothes?' The man was speechless.
13 "Then the king told the attendants, 'Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
14 "For many are invited, but few are chosen."

In summary, I believe the scriptures suggest that the people who will be raptured into heaven to be with the Lord and attend the Wedding Supper of the Lamb will have ‘made themselves ready’, dressed appropriately, oil in their lamps, waiting and watching.  In comparison, what happens to those who are not ready, not dressed appropriately, with little or no oil in their lamps, who carry on with their business as usual?  They miss out.

Would you agree?

Q: You said in the kids page that a man named "Jesus" died for me...why?

Sarah,The answer to your story covers a lot of history (His Story)...

John 3:16  is the most quoted Bible verse ever and is the key to answering your question,

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

You see, God created man and woman to live forever, not to die.
Everything was perfect and beautiful in the Garden of Eden.
But along came the devil, who took the form of a serpent, and he tricked Adam and Eve into doing what God had told them 'NOT' to do.
Disobeying God is what 'sin' is... that is, sin is doing anything which goes against what God has clearly told us to do or not to do.
So sin entered the world through one man, Adam (even though Eve tasted the fruit first, they're both guilty).  God made it clear that the penalty for disobeying him would be death...meaning all people wouldn't live forever the way He intended them to, but they would live a life with suffering and hardships and then die.

God is perfect, sinless, beautiful, holy and he loves every person who has ever been born even though many people break his heart by never trying to get to know Him and sinning until the day they die.  God wants our love more than anything, so much so that the first commandment is "Love the Lord your God with all your heart".  But God has given each person free will, meaning they can choose between what is right and what is wrong, good vs evil.  People must choose to know God and to love Him because He loved us first.

God's plan is continuously unfolding.  He knew this would all happen before the beginning of time.  A price has to always be paid for sinning or breaking God's law, that's just the way it is.  The laws of our country work the same way...when someone is proven to be guilty of breaking the law then they have to pay a price; whether it's a fine, time in jail, or their very life.  God the Creator loves his creation (us) so much that He decided to pay the price for us.  He did this through His perfect, sinless Son, Jesus Christ, who is God himself in the flesh, who came down from heaven and was born as baby by the virgin, Mary.  Since the penalty for sin is death Jesus paid the penalty for us, He died in our place on the cross and 3 days later He was resurrected, meaning he conquered death by coming back to life so that mankind might be redeemed and reconciled to Him to live forever the way He always intended. So God has provided a way for us to live forever with Him in paradise, a place called Heaven, where there is no pain, no suffering, no crying, and no death.

John 14:1-14      Jesus Is the Way, the Truth, and the Life”

So whoever believes that Jesus is the Son of God can be 'saved' from death by seeking to know Him.  It can start by praying a simple prayer to ask God to come into your heart and reveal Himself to you, to be the loving Lord of your life, a simple prayer that He will certainly hear.

Then...

Ezekiel 36:26     “I will give you a new heart and put a new Spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

1 Corinthians 3:16      “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s SPIRIT LIVES IN YOU.”

Faith is believing in that which is unseen.

The funniest example of faith that I’ve ever heard of is the question, “Do you have a brain inside your head?  How do you know?  Have you ever seen it?”  To which some people may answer “I’ve seen an X-ray or CAT Scan of my brain so I  know it exists!” … ah but wait a minute, that is just an ‘image’ of the brain, not the brain itself, yet they believe without questioning.   Well, the Bible is an ‘image’ of God, so why do so many people refuse to believe? Could it be that they’ve been tricked by the devil without even knowing it?

So in summary, God died for YOU because He loves you and wants you to be with Him in heaven for all eternity.

I HOPE that answered your question.
