Moral Decay in the USA

DADT aka the 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' policy has been repealed. People who subscribe to a homosexual lifestyle can be openly gay while serving in the United States Armed Forces. This is a 'good thing' ? Like Hell it is. I say that not as a vulgar expression of speech but as a literal, Biblical expression of speech. Homosexuality is a sin because God clearly says that it is multiple times in the Bible to both the Jew and the Christian.

Genesis 19 > Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed > "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them."

Leviticus 20:13 > If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

Romans 1:26-27 > God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

1 Corinthians 6:9-20 > Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

1 Timothy 1:9-11 > We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.

Jude 1:7 > And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

For this reason people who identify themselves as homosexuals hate God and reject His Word. For this reason we cannot be One Nation Under God. If we cannot be united then we are divided and a house divided can not stand. The moral decay of sin has eroded even more of the foundation which our country was built upon which is evidenced by the labeling of this writing as 'hate speech'. Perhaps you've heard the Christian expression, "Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin". If our nation's representatives believe they are representing the will of the people by condoning and legitimizing unnatural sexual behaviors then all we can do is speak the Truth in Love and pray for the Revelation of Jesus Christ to those whose eyes are wide open but who do not see. No doubt the media will focus their attention on those who are unable to contain their disgust of homosexuality and act out in hateful ways. It's a spiritual war. The behavior of these people must either be rooted in their deeper knowledge and understanding of how depraved this so-called lifestyle really is or is motivated by the same unseen spiritual forces that incessantly attack all God's creation and gain more victory by suggesting through the media that ugly, hateful behavior is representative of Christianity.

Only those who do not know or who are afraid to speak of such things can dismiss the demonic roots of this sin. All sin has demonic roots. We have all fallen short of God's standard of perfection as defined by His law which is why we all need a Savior to save us from the penalty of breaking the law. The penalty is a death sentence in the form of being eternally separated from the author of life and everything good. The Good News is that your death sentence will be commuted simply by believing that God loves you so much that he sent his only Son, Jesus Christ, who is God in the flesh, to pay the price for us with his life, and that he conquered death by rising from the grave on the 3rd day.

There is no constitutional right to serve in the military. The military has always discriminated based on physical or mental limitations, felony convictions, education, drug use, weight and other reasons. Upon enlistment, those joining the armed forces agree to give up some of their own Contitutional rights by swearing before God to support and protect the Constitution which gives rights to those in society. Homosexuality is not a right, however, it is a wrong and should be left out of our nation's military.

The dictionary defines the verb 'pervert' as "to turn to an improper use; misapply" or a "deliberate distorion". Therefore the use of the rainbow as a symbol of gay rights or anything 'homosexual' is perverted since the original meaning of the rainbow is a promise from God to His creation that He would never again destroy the earth by flood. His promise does not nullify his pending judgement.

God's Word is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. If your current beliefs are that homosexuality is not a sin then you don't believe that God's Word is inerrant. Therefore, if you believe God's Word is errant about homosexuality being a sin you can also choose to believe that other sins are not sin either, which essentially leads to creating your own god, religion and moral code. Yet God's first commandment is , "You shall have no other gods before me". The belief that homosexuality is not a sin is even embraced by many so-called 'Christian' denominations. This all circles around to original sin... when Satan deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden by asking her, "Did God really say..."

I see the repeal of DADT as a major event or sign that the return of Jesus Christ our messiah is nearer than many think.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.

Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.
2 Peter 3:10-13

Up to a point, God's judgement is His mercy, but many people don't see it that way. What I mean is that God is long suffering or very patient with people. Many times God has used judgement in the form of death, famine, natural disasters, or attacks from the enemy to get the attention of His people and motivate them to acknowledge His existence and cry out to Him. In His righteous anger God could very easily wipe out all mankind, but His love for His creation overides the requirements of the Law, ... this is mercy. However, for every mortal there comes a point in time or in their life where they run out of second chances to repent or turn to God and live their lives according to His ways.

I believe God gave me a scriptural revelation one night while driving on the freeway, here it is:

The body of Jesus Christ was risen as a new, incorruptible, glorified body early on the 3rd Day. So it will be with the Body of Christ today, which is the Church. On the 3rd day the body, that is the church of true believers, will be given new incorruptible bodies and will rise to meet Christ in the air. The Rapture is nearer than ever, but do not give any attention to anyone who says they know the day or the hour, because God's Word says no one, not even the angels, know what the day or the hour is....but its near.

I believe that the 3rd day has already begun.

Hosea 6:1-2
Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us;
he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds. After two days he will revive us;
on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence.

2 Peter 3:8
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

What should we do while we wait for the Lord's return?

• Keep God's Word, don't just read it, that is be Hearers & Doers of the Word.
• Walk in the Light, separate yourself from the world.
• Please God by the way you live.
• Witness to others, like Enoch who was raptured, tell people "the Lord is coming"
• Love the sinner but hate the sin
• Persevere, look forward, don't turn back to the life you've left.
• Be Humble
• Be Holy
• Be Blameless, make every effort to stay blameless and pure.
• Be Watchful for the return of the Lord.
• Pray always
